You could go to a really good psychic/medium that gives past life readings.

    OR

Before you go to sleep ask your subconscious self to allow you to dream about one of your past lives. Most of us have had many past lives. And when you do this…..do it everyday for about a week before you see a response from yourself.

You can have a tarot reading. Do you have any idea what you were in a past life? You can start by looking up on the internet about people you think you may have some conection with. I think I was a witch in a past life and I looked up witches that were burned. It has helped me and I think I am getting close.

I’m a dedicated Reincarnationist. I was born with distinct memories of my most recent lifetime in the 1900s-1930s, so I have always known that reincarnation is a fact.

By “hypnosis”, I assume you mean going to a therapist. I don’t blame you for not wanting to do that. There are so many frauds and con artists out there. This includes professional psychics and tarot readers — most of them just want your money, and people like that won’t have a clue about your personal history.

I’m sure there must be a few professionals who are honest and know how to guide a person through remembering past lives, but all they can do is help you open doors: you have to walk inside and look around by yourself. No one can tell you about your past. As a matter of fact, the only person who knows for sure about your past lives is YOU.

You can recall your previous lives through several techniques, but it may take some effort and time, and of course you have to be certain that this is what you want to do. Most people at the subconscious level don’t want to recall their past existences, either because remembering would be confusing or stressful, or because remembering would simply serve no useful purpose. If you want to remember, though, you can.

Meditation is the best way. And self-hypnosis. There’s nothing frightening about self-hypnosis; it’s just a state of deep relaxation and mild suggestibility. Many people make tapes to play during self-hypnosis sessions, using music and their own dialogue to guide them to recall past events. That can be very effective.

Dreams can open doorways in your mind to past lives. Read a couple of good books on lucid dreaming. Keep a dream journal. Learn how to communicate with your dreaming mind and encourage yourself to reveal memories through your dreams.

A good book on the subject of past-life recall is “The Idiot’s Guide to Past-Life Regression” by Michael Hathaway. The title is silly, but the information inside is very good. Hathaway covers all the methods and gives practical advice.

Books by Raymond A. Moody, such as “Life After Life” and “Coming Back: A Psychiatrist Explores Past-Life Journeys” could also be very helpful to you.

Most Reincarnationists I know are big fans of Brian Weiss, who has written several good books.

Best of luck to you in your search for truth.
